Your local City Beach & Floreat electrician, on-site today, priced before we start.

The most frequent job we're called for is a board upgrade before or during a renovation. A rear extension or a second storey adds lighting, power and heating circuits, and the existing board simply has no spare ways. Doing that properly at the start avoids a scramble at inspection time.

We also see a lot of outdoor work in these suburbs: pool equipment, garden lighting, shed subboards and external powerpoints that were installed years ago without proper RCD protection or weatherproofing. Those are exactly the circuits that cause nuisance tripping after rain.

We service City Beach, Floreat, Churchlands, Wembley Downs and along The Boulevard and Cambridge Street, with same-day availability most weeks and after-hours emergency cover.

A switchboard upgrade in City Beach or Floreat usually involves increasing capacity as well as adding protection. We fit a larger enclosure, individual RCBOs per circuit, surge protection and correct main switch rating, and where the property has three-phase supply we distribute the load evenly across phases so nothing sits permanently near its limit.

For emergency electrician callouts we prioritise anything unsafe: burning smells, sparking outlets, exposed conductors, water in the board, or complete loss of power. We attend after hours and on weekends, make the site safe immediately, then quote the permanent fix in writing.

Nuisance tripping on outdoor circuits is one of the most common fault-finding jobs here. We test each circuit under load, find the moisture ingress or damaged cable causing it, and repair it rather than simply resetting the switch.

Large two-storey homes need interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms on every level and outside sleeping areas. We replace expired units, hardwire and interconnect them, and provide compliance paperwork where the property is rented or being sold.

EV charger installs in Floreat and City Beach often involve long cable runs from the board to a detached garage. We plan the route to minimise disruption, size the cable correctly for the distance, install a dedicated protected circuit and commission the charger properly.

We also complete partial and full rewiring, new circuits for extensions, LED lighting upgrades, ceiling fans, pool and pump circuits, and garden lighting. Everything is tested and certified on completion.
