From period homes with a long driveway to a detached garage, to Bay View Terrace apartment basements, we run the cable properly and get you charging.

Trusted brands
Claremont and Peppermint Grove are full of period homes where the garage was built long after the house — usually detached, at the rear of a long side driveway, well away from the meter box on the front wall. That distance is the first thing we work out on any quote here, because it decides cable size, conduit route and whether we need to core through a brick wall or run discreetly along a fence line.
Peppermint Grove properties tend to have even more generous setbacks, which means longer cable runs again — sometimes 20 to 30 metres from switchboard to garage. We plan the route before we touch a tool, so the finished job looks intentional rather than like an afterthought stapled to the fascia.
Closer to Bay View Terrace, plenty of owners are in apartment blocks with basement or rear parking bays. That's a different job again — shared switchboards, owners corporation sign-off, and sometimes a dedicated sub-circuit run down through the riser to your allocated bay.

In short
Electrician Perth installs EV chargers across Claremont and Peppermint Grove, including long cable runs to detached rear garages and basement bays in Bay View Terrace apartments. We're licensed, quote a fixed price before starting and issue a Certificate of Compliance on completion. Call 0405 422 079.
Most detached rear garages in this area were built for a single car decades before anyone thought about EVs, so there's rarely a spare circuit sitting there ready to use. We run a dedicated 32A circuit and RCBO from the main switchboard, through conduit along the driveway boundary or under eaves, and terminate at a wall-mounted 7kW unit inside or beside the garage.
For Peppermint Grove's longer setbacks, cable size and voltage drop become real considerations over that distance, so we size the cable to the run rather than defaulting to a standard spec. Where the driveway is shared or heritage overlay applies to the front fence, we route conduit to stay unobtrusive from the street.
In Bay View Terrace apartment buildings we work with the owners corporation to route from a common switchboard or your own meter down to your basement bay, keeping the run tidy against existing services in the car park ceiling.
A lot of Claremont's period homes still have older switchboards that were never touched during a kitchen or bathroom renovation. Before we quote the charger, we check main switch rating, earthing and whether there's ceramic fuse gear that needs replacing to safely add a dedicated 32A circuit.
Where supply is limited or the home already runs ducted heating and cooling, we can use load management to share capacity rather than force a full upgrade. Larger Peppermint Grove homes with three-phase supply are good candidates for an 11kW or 22kW charger if you want faster overnight top-ups.
How it works
No back-and-forth, no chasing quotes, no cowboy pricing. Enquire today, get a clear fixed price fast, and we'll have a licensed sparky on site, often within the same week.

Quick call, message or online form, takes two minutes. Tell us the job (or the problem) and we'll be straight back to you.
We inspect, then hand you one clear all-in price up front. What we quote is what you pay, zero surprise line items.
A licensed electrician does the work to AS/NZS 3000, tests every circuit and leaves your place cleaner than they found it.
On the day we isolate the supply, run and terminate the circuit, mount the charger and test everything against AS/NZS 3000 before handing over. You get a Certificate of Compliance, which you'll need for insurance and any strata records.
Most Claremont and Peppermint Grove customers ask about scheduling charging for off-peak rates, and if you've got solar we can set up an OCPP-compatible charger to favour daytime charging when panels are producing.

Not for us, but it does change the job. We measure the run first and size the cable to avoid voltage drop over distance, which is common on Peppermint Grove's larger blocks. It may mean a slightly bigger cable or a different route than a standard install, but the finished result performs exactly as it should.
Yes, but you'll need owners corporation approval first, since the cable usually crosses common property to reach your basement bay. We can supply the technical detail your OC needs to sign off, then run the circuit from either your own meter or an agreed common supply point.
If your home already has three-phase supply, an 11-22kW charger will top up an EV significantly faster overnight than a 7kW unit. It's not essential, but for bigger properties with room in the switchboard, it's a sensible upgrade to consider while we're already on site.
We'll flag it during the quote. Ceramic rewireable fuses aren't suitable for a new dedicated EV circuit, so we'd replace the relevant fuse ways with RCBOs as part of the job. It's a straightforward add-on, not a reason to delay the install.
